Polyvore — available for Android and iPhone
Polyvore is an app fit for the fashion designer in all of us. The app allows you to create your own “sets” of clothing from apparel that other users have added, or that you’ve added to your account. In the same style as Pinterest, you can copy pictures of clothes from any website and add them to your collection of items. You can even click on an item in any set and go directly to the designers’ website, allowing Polyvore customers to buy the wardrobe of their dreams. Thousands of users create sets a day, allowing you to find tons of inspiration for your next look.
Spring — available for Android and iPhone
This app pulls hundreds of brands together in one place, and lets you purchase from them all at once. If you want a Marc Jacobs bag and a lipstick from Smashbox, Spring is your one-stop app shop for both items. The also app allows you to organize your favorite brands in one place, while also keeping up with popular trends and new arrivals.
thredUP — available for Android and iPhone
If you’re looking to sell any of your old clothing, or buy thrifted clothes, thredUp allows you to kick back, relax and save money without having to leave your home. This app allows you to shop from over 25,000 brands at up to 90 percent off retail price, while also sending in your own clothes and receiving money back for them. They also send you a free “clean out kit,” which provides you with a bag that you can fill with clothes and ship right back to them.
Stitch Fix — available for iPhone
Ever wanted your own personal stylist? Well, now you can have one! Stitch Fix sends five personally selected pieces straight to your doorstep, and only makes you pay for what you like. There’s a quick quiz that helps your stylist get to know your personal style without having to leave the comfort of your home. You even can get 25% off your total price if you decide to keep all five items. The app provides a new, easy way to get a look that you’ll love that’s especially curated for your taste and your wallet.
LOOKBOOK — available for Android and iPhone
Fashionistas all over the world express themselves on LOOKBOOK, a Tumblr-esque arena for the latest style trends. Get in touch with international fashion-lovers, follow their looks, and give them “hype” (likes) on their outfits. You can post your own looks, creating a space for you to express your own fashion tastes and interests. LOOKBOOK allows you to connect and bond with other users through fashion.
Covet Fashion — available for Android and iPhone
Covet Fashion is an adult dress-up game hosted by actress Nina Dobrev. Bringing back those early memories of Stardoll and Barbie, Covet allows users to build their closet with real items and then enter contests to see how their styles compared to other stylists in the game. You can connect with your friends who have the app, see their looks, borrow their clothes for fashion challenges and even join groups with them to get style tips.
Shopkick — available for Android and iPhone
Shopkick is a rewards program app that allows you to earn gift cards to retail stores including Marshalls, TJ Maxx, American Eagle, Old Navy, JCPenney and Macy’s. Gift cards are also available for Target, Walmart, Starbucks, and Redbox. The app requires you to turn on your Bluetooth before you walk into participating stores, which are listed on the home screen, and scan certain products’ barcodes. With each scan you earn a different amount of “kicks,” and once you reach a certain number, you can redeem a gift card of your choosing. Some stores, including retail giants like Target and Walmart, reward you with “kicks” just for entering the store.
