With warm and sunny weather quickly approaching, sunglasses are a wardrobe necessity for protecting your eyes, and accessorizing your summer outfits. Now, you can also compliment this fashion statement by donating to a cause. ORANGE Style has compiled a list of five charitable eyewear companies, so you can give back in style.

TOMS
The company that brought the “one for one” shoe line to the charity forefront is also using the same strategy with its sunglasses line.TOMS will not only donate prescription glasses, but will also provide funds for an eyesight-saving surgery or medical treatment for those who can’t afford it. The company works with 13 different countries to help restore sight to over 360,000 people. The sunglasses you buy will provide you with a stylish new piece of eyewear, while improving the eyesight of someone in need.
Warby Parker
This eyewear company was founded with a “rebellious spirit,” and with the intent of selling designer eyewear at affordable prices. Like TOMS, Warby Parker ensures that for every pair of glasses sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need. On top of this, the company partners with the non-profit VisionSpring, which creates jobs for people in developing countries by training them to give basic eye exams and to sell glasses to their communities at an affordable price.
Panda Sunglasses
Founded in 2012, Panda Sunglasses was created with the idea of helping our planet. Panda’s sunglasses are made from sustainably-sourced bamboo. The bamboo’s texture and the brightly colored lenses are sure to make heads turn as you exhibit “fashion with a purpose.” The company also partners with Optometry Giving Sight to provide an eye exam and a pair of glasses to someone in need. A portion of their donation also helps cover the cost of building optometry schools and training men and women in optometry.
DIFF Eyewear
Sponsored by fashion bloggers and former “Bachelor” contestants, DIFF Eyewear produces charitable eyewear that pops. The company’s thick frames sport lenses that come in a variety of colors. Not only do they produce designer-quality sunglasses, but for every pair of sunglasses sold, the company donates a pair of prescription glasses to African countries through Eyes on Africa, a nonprofit organization.
SHAUNS California
As a company focused on creating “soulful luxury,” SHAUNS eyewear comes at a steeper price, but features incredibly well-crafted glasses. The products are designed in California and are produced in family-owned workshops in Italy. SHAUNS is dedicated to mobilizing the visually impaired by giving an eye exam and a pair of glasses for those in need, for every pair of glasses sold. Each pair of glasses is engraved with an an “S” in braille.
