That was fast. Too fast. Summer is right around the corner and I’m still having trouble letting go of my boots and sweaters.

The saying is “April showers bring May flowers,” right? Well, here in Texas you have to add “humidity, lot’s of wind, the occasional thunderstorm and really hot weather” to that sentence. The saying would no longer make sense, but neither does the weather in April.
Nevertheless, it’s time to get all my coats and black pants off of the hangers and try to find some appropriate clothing for a Texas spring. It’s time to shop.
There’s only one problem. I’m pretty broke. So, instead of a trip to the mall, I’ll probably do a lot of thrifting for skirts, shorts, jeans to cut up to make into shorts, etc., etc.
The Style writers at ORANGE want to know how you get your closet in shape for warmer weather. Where do you shop? What do you look for? And how do you stick to your budget?
This month we’ll be switching gears and talking more about healthy skin. I myself struggle with finding skin care products that help keep skin clear during the drastic change in weather. Let us know about your favorite products, skin care routines, and ways of avoiding breakouts. Find us on instagram, @orangemag_style, and send us a picture of your favorite skin care product for a chance to be featured in the magazine.
It’s been a great semester. I’m grateful for all of the writers on the Style team and the great content they push out every week. Here’s to one more wonderful month at UT.
