Enjoying well-cooked meals while living in an on-campus dorm is not always easy. By this time of the year, your appreciation for cafeteria food is decreasing and the initial excitement over all-you-can-eat food is nearly gone.

Chick-fil-A sandwiches, and “Taco Tuesdays” or “Italian Thursdays” from dining hall menus are piling up quickly. If you only have a microwave handy in your room, here are a few easy, yet yummy recipes to try.
Quiche in a Mug
Ingredients
1 egg1 ½ tablespoons milk1 teaspoon melted butterPinch of salt and pepper4 small grape tomatoes, halved1/8 cup bread, torn into pieces1 tablespoon shredded cheddar cheese1 teaspoon chopped chives
Instructions
Add egg, milk, salt and pepper, and butter to mug. Mix together.Add tomatoes, bread, cheese, and chives. Mix until evenly dispersed.Place mug in microwave for 1 minute, until egg is cooked.Add chives and cheese on top.Enjoy!
Pizza in a Mug
Ingredients
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour1/8 tablespoon salt1/8 tablespoon baking powderPinch of baking soda3 tablespoons milk1 tablespoon olive oil1 tablespoon of marinara sauce¼ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese4 to 5 mini pepperoni slices
Instructions
Add flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda to mug. Mix together.Add milk and olive oil. Mix together until dough appears.Spread marinara sauce on top of flattened out dough.Sprinkle mozzarella on top.Place 4 to 5 mini pepperoni slices on top of cheese.Microwave for 70 to 80 seconds.Enjoy!
Chocolate Fudge S’mores Cake
Ingredients
2 tablespoons graham cracker crumbs3 tablespoons milk1 tablespoon vegetable oil2 tablespoons granulated sugar4 tablespoons all-purpose flour1/4 teaspoon baking powder2-3 small squares of milk chocolate1 tablespoon of marshmallow fluff
Instructions
Add flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder, oil, milk and sugar to mug. Mix until there are no flour chunks.Stick the squares of milk chocolate in the batter.Put in microwave for 1 minute.Top cake with marshmallow puff and a square of chocolate.Enjoy!
