The exhibit is hosted by Texas Appleseed, a nonprofit center seeking to change unjust policies in Texas, and the American Institute of Graphic Arts, a design firm aimed at promoting ethical and high-end graphic design. This endeavor allows artists to express their concerns and facilitate dialogue in dynamic and creative ways.
The theme for this year’s event was creating a stronger Texas through equal access to opportunity. Some of the heavily emphasized topics included criminal justice reform, dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline and helping homeless youth. These one of a kind posters were sold and the proceeds will help fund Texas Appleseed’s upcoming projects.
