Amelia Meath captivated the anxiously awaiting fans with her haunting voice and robotic-like dance moves that strike on the beat. A light show silhouetted her every move. Right alongside her, electronic producer and band partner Nick Sanborn poured over his synthesizer and electronic equipment.
Fans went wild when Meath stomped her platform black boots and broke out in eccentric dance moves. Everyone in the backyard of Stubb’s couldn’t help but dance to the unconventional sounds, beats and loops that make up Sylvan Esso’s electronic folk vibe. This show was particularly special for fans as the duo arrived in Texas just days after Hurricane Harvey hit major cities and towns around the state. The band cancelled their show scheduled for the next day in Houston due to the catastrophic conditions.
Not only did Sylvan Esso express their deepest condolences, but the pair also partnered with Central Texas Food Bank and collected canned goods at their show for the victims. All proceeds from the merchandise purchased that night went to those affected by the storm. From the music they played to this gesture of support, Sylvan Esso touched hearts in more ways than one.
