Let ORANGE Magazine help you get your life together with these simple tips to organize your bag. All bags are welcome, from totes to backpacks. Follow these steps and you’ll always be ready for the next time someone asks “what’s in your bag?”
Throw away all old receipts.
While keeping them is useful for budgeting, receipts contribute to clutter. If you must keep receipts, store them in a small tabbed envelope. Take inventory of your receipts every week and discard them after they’ve been accounted for.

Use small bags to separate your non-essentials.
While it may seem like adding more bags into the picture will exacerbate the mess, the idea is to keep items from accumulating in the bottom of your bag.

Take advantage of your phone.
The notes app exists for a reason. Instead of jotting down notes on miscellaneous slips of paper, jot them down in your phone. Your bag will thank you.

Use sections in
your bag.
Most bags have built-in pouches. Use these compartments to store your small essentials, whether it’s chapstick, hand sanitizer keys, your school ID, or gum. Put your earbuds and phone chargers in an empty sunglasses case. Double-duty items are key.
