There is no mistaking the dreamy presence of an artist on stage, adorned in leather pants, Doc Martens and a flowy purple shirt. Singer-songwriter Garrett Borns, better known as, BØRNS, captivated fans with his presence at Stubb’s last Friday.

After more than two years, BØRNS has come out with his sophomore album, “Blue Madonna,” complete with a single featuring Lana Del Rey. The androgynous artist commands an airy aura unlike any other artist. He danced delicately around the entire Stubb’s stage, much to the uber fans’ delight in the front row. With his dancing and demeanor, he exuded the impression of a modern-day Michael Jackson.
BØRNS began the show playing about half of his newest album in order before exiting the stage in the middle of his set. His silhouette soon appeared back on stage, illuminated by Stubbs’ spectacular light show. He ended the second half of the set with older favorites from first album, “Dopamine.” He changed up some of these favorites, playing his very first single, “Seeing Stars,” acoustically. BØRNS closed the show with his big hit “Electric Love.” Austin was graced with the transfixing presence of Garrett Borns for a night that concert-goers will not forget anytime soon.
