Austin loves any excuse to drink margaritas. Many local restaurants have crafted their own, with fresh ingredients, tangy flavors and top-shelf tequila.

ORANGE Magazine has rounded up the best places to celebrate National Margarita Day on Thursday, Feb. 22. Close your eyes, take a sip and remember: spring break is right around the corner!
Chuy’s (All Locations)
Most love this Tex-Mex chain for their happy hour, but a free queso bar makes it even better. This Thursday, celebrate with $1 floaters and $1 off the Frozen Blackberry or Frozen Blood Orange margarita all day.

Ojos Locos Austin
A short drive north up I-35, you can find $1 margaritas all day at sports bar Ojos Locos.
Trudy’s Tex-Mex (All locations)
$2 frozen or on the rock margaritas are available at this Tex-Mex chain. The Star of Texas Mexican Martini was rated the best in Austin by Texas Monthly, so you can assume their margaritas are just as refreshing.
Baby Acapulco’s
Baby A’s purple rita is an Austin staple. Customers are limited to two strong, colorful and sweet rita’s per visit. Only the brave attempt visiting all three locations in a night. This Thursday, all day long, Baby A’s has $1 off frozen margaritas.

Hay Maker with El Jimador
Between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., the House special, the “Velvet Matador,” will be $3. The raspberry margarita on the rocks is made with El Jimador tequila and Chambord liqueur. There will also be free painting for the creative spirits (no pun intended) to express their love for tequila.
