On Saturday, May 5, hip-hop music festival JMBLYA will take place at the famous Circuit of the Americas. Headliners Migos and J. Cole will take the stage at night, but don’t miss out on these daytime artists! We recommend these three captivating rappers as essential to the JMBLYA experience.

Playboi Carti
Atlanta native Playboi Carti has been a part of the rap game for years, starting out as a Soundcloud sensation. Though much of his earlier work is no longer available online, fans can still find early hits like Ethereal-produced “Beef” on Spotify. Today, he is widely known for “Magnolia”, which reached no. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100. One listen can get a crowd milly rocking without hesitation.
Jack Harlow
19-year-old rapper Jack Harlow, hailing from Louisville, Kentucky is fresh out of high school but carries wisdom in his words while remaining carefree. Many rap artists communicate strong messages through lyrics, but Harlow does so without preaching. From his 2017 album, “Gazebo”, he collaborates with Shloob on a coming-of-age track that doesn’t lack any punches. His earlier songs like “Power Tools” carry a quick flow while rapping in an ongoing stream of consciousness regarding young relationships.
Cozz
Cody Osagie, better known as Cozz, released his first official song “Dreams” in 2013. The dark background music and hard-hitting vocals chronicled the struggles that come along with pursuing one’s dreams. The accompanying music video was instrumental to getting Cozz signed onto J. Cole’s record label, Dreamville Records. After Cole watched the music video, the two spent the next few months working together. In 2015, he accompanied Cole on his Forest Hills Drive tour. Just last month, Cozz released his second album, “Effected” which we hope to hear live at JMBLYA.
