Austin City Limits is the party of the weekend, but there are tons of hidden gems that come out of ACL weekend every year.

Although the popular festival is what attracts thousands to Austin, late-night shows are a relic as well. If you weren’t able to get tickets to ACL, these late-night shows will be your best friend. Here is a freshly squeezed list of the most anticipated performances of the weekend.
BROCKHAMPTON
Where: Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater
When: Saturday, October 6
Doors open: 9:00 PM
BROCKHAMPTON is a multicultural, queer-inclusive hip-hop collective formed in San Marcos, Texas, just 45 minutes outside of Austin. Their latest album, iridescence, was released just two weeks prior to the festival.
Amen Dunes with Israel Nash
Where: Mohawk
When: Saturday, October 6
Doors open: 9:30 PM
Amen Dunes is an indie rock project formed by singer-songwriter Damon McMahon. The band consists of McMahon and rotating members. Pitchfork calls their fifth album a ‘euphoric breakthrough.’
Kydd Jones
Where: Stubb’s Indoors
When: Saturday, October 6
Doors open: 11:00 PM
Kydd Jones, a hip-hop/R&B artist from Austin, has performed alongside Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber and more. He first gained international notoriety in 2014 after performing at NXNE in Toronto and The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival in New York City.
Bishop Briggs
Where: Emo’s
When: Tuesday, October 9
Doors open: 7:00 PM
Bishop Briggs is a British alt-rock musician. Briggs’ music is infused with EDM influence, shown in one of her hit songs, “River”. On Friday, the first day of the festival, she released a Sofi Tukker remix of her single “Baby”.
Alvvays
Where: Scoot Inn
When: Wednesday, October 10
Doors open: 6:00 PM
Canadian band Alvvays formed in 2011. Their music focuses on energetic and infectious melodies, instead of being classified as a specific genre. They’re a self-proclaimed jangle pop band.
Wild Child
Where: Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater
When: Wednesday, October 10
Doors open: 7:00 PM
Wild Child is an indie pop band formed right here in Austin. They were named ‘Best Indie Band’ and ‘Best Folk Band’ at SXSW in 2013.
Sylvan Esso
Where: Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater
When: Friday, October 12
Doors open: 8:30 PM
Sylvan Esso is an electronic duo from North Carolina. The band consists of singer Amelia Meath and producer Nick Sanborn. Their album “What Now” was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Dance/Electronic Album category.
