“[ACL] was the first music festival that I had ever been to when I was a kid. Probably all of us,” says lead singer, Colin Harmon. The Austin natives were crossing items off their bucket list this week, not just by playing ACL but also by performing at Antone’s the night before. Harmon was in awe of their accomplishments, so much to the fact that his eyes swelled a bit during their song “Sleeper.”
Fans were singing and dancing along. The crowd fell in love with the locals. “It was crazy to look out and see people I knew, like a lot of my best friends out there but then random people singing. People just having a really good time. It’s cool we could that,” keyboardist Jack Malonis says.
The collective described the experience as surreal, saying that they will never forget their ACL debut. For their first festival experience they were humbled and proud, agreeing as a group it went as well as it could’ve gone.
Guitarist, Cullen Trevino assures fans that they are working on new material and plan to release new music soon.
Next on their bucket list is performing outdoors at Stubb’s.
