As ORANGE continues to evolve, I’d like to create a sense of community for all the style-obsessed students on the UT campus.
Style isn’t something you can buy in a store. It’s not about the clothes, or the shoes, or the accessories. It’s something that comes from within. It’s the sugar and spice of your personality. It helps you pick out that outfit every morning. Everyone has their own unique sense of style, and when you use it to your advantage, it can do wonders.
I’m a firm believer in wearing what makes you happy. The style writers at ORANGE are not here to tell you what to wear. We’re here to offer a helping hand and we are always open to suggestions.
Eventually, the Style section of ORANGE will be a reflection of the talented and stylish students roaming the Forty Acres.
As we wrap up February, you’ll be seeing a lot of pieces on spring trends. Spring in Texas is tricky, so bear with us. Expect a lot of pastels, daring lipsticks and maybe black.
I hope the end of February is full of sweaters, scarves and a lot of flannel, and I hope you wear what makes you happy. Life is too short to walk around in sad outfits.
So, here’s to another semester of writing thoughtful and interesting pieces on the students with a story — the students with a unique sense of style.
xoxo,
Helen Fernandez
