Just because it’s foreign politics doesn’t mean celebrities can’t get heat for it.

On March 28, UT Austin held its first-ever Texas edition of the Hijabi Monologues, a storytelling-based performance created by Sahar Ullah. 

“Islam has made me a better person,” said Amanda Quraishi, diversity activist and panelist at Texas Ahmadiyya Muslim Students Organization’s event, ‘Islam in America: From 9/11 to the Trump Era.’ The event was held March 2 and consisted of interfaith discussion that addressed ways to combat Islamophobia.

With its growing conglomeration of wealth in the Middle East, the global fashion industry has taken an interest in targeting the vast population of Muslim women.
