Moving Panoramas is a dream gaze project that will do anything but put you to sleep. The all-female group originated in Austin. Their lineup includes songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Leslie Sisson, drummer Karen Skloss, and bassist Jolie Cota Flink.

While bands usually describe touring as one endless party, some may wonder about the experiences and adventures that don’t fall under “the best of times." To gain insight on these tales, ORANGE polled local Austin musicians for their weirdest, funniest and most horrifying tour stories.

All emcees welcome– this is the essential belief behind Austin Mic Exchange. Founded in 2012, AMX started as a weekly hip-hop open mic night at Spider House Ballroom. Along with the weekly program, the group acts as an events booking company and support network for local artists.

For 5 years, Zay Guru has been hard at work blending genres together– from rap to reggae to neo-soul and sometimes even folk.

“It was just me in the beginning,” lead singer Matt Hines says, reminiscing about dorm room jam sessions and improvised venues. The Eastern Sea has experienced a transformative journey in terms of members, but lead singer Matt Hines remains at the forefront.

ORANGE sat down with Vallejo to talk about the history of the band and their sound.
