Click, click goes the iPhone. Take a trip to Castle Hill, and you’re bound to do one of two things: take a million pictures with your camera phone or wish you could take a piece of it with you. When it comes to the latter, you’re usually shiitake out of luck — unless you are strangely handy with a pick-axe or a drill. So, for all you culture junkies who pine away at a chance to hang a piece of classic ATX art in your living room, thank sprATX. The creative collective has started #atxfreeartfriday, a hashtag movement through Instagram that allows artists to hide art (for free!) for any Austinite to find. Just follow the hashtag every Friday for clues (and if you’re really picking up what sprATX is putting down, check out their online store).
