The ORANGE Style section has comprised a list of its members’ favorite skin and beauty products. Take note — you might add a couple of these items to your repertoire of beauty essentials.
Red Lipsticks by MAC
My favorite beauty product has to be red lipstick. I’ve tried a plethora of bright shades, but my favorites are definitely from MAC. I love to mix Ruby Woo and Russian Red to create the perfect red for any occasion. The blue undertone from Russian Red and the orange undertone from Ruby Woo make a perfect color that can be worn on any skin tone. I wear it when I’m going to class, with a coat of mascara, or with a bit of dark eye shadow for a night out. With its matte texture and bold color, this color makes a statement.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Kit
Never underestimate the importance of eyebrows, because they can make or break a face. So, what makes a great brow? They must be well-kept, defined and perfectly arched. That’s where the brow guru Anastasia comes in. Her kits have the ability to transform those little patches of hair and, ultimately, your entire face.
First, the Anastasia Beverly Hills 5-Element Brow Kit is exactly what you need for beautiful brows done right. It’s available in 5 shades to match any hair color. It includes precision tweezers, brow powder duo, brow stencils (five different shapes), a mini duo brush and clear brow gel.
My personal favorite is the Beauty Express Kit for brows and eyes. The kit includes a brow wax cream, brow powder duo for filling in, an eye shadow duo for enhancement, stencils and an angled brush for application.
Once you open the kit, a step-by-step list of instructions tells you exactly what to do. Below is a quick summary:
1. Pick the stencil that fits your natural brow. For me, that’s the medium arch.
2. Apply the brow wax cream.
3. Use the correct stencil as a guide for filling in your brows with brow powder.
4. Remove stencil and tweeze hairs that aren’t filled in.
5. Apply shadows to enhance brow bones.
It’s as simple as that. Follow these steps, and you’ll transform your face in a matter of minutes.

Dr. Bronner’s Magic Castille Soap
For the majority of my life, I put little thought into what products I washed my skin with. I used any soap that looked cute or smelled good. However, I recently started experimenting with healthier alternatives to everyday beauty products and found this gem — Dr. Bronner’s soap. Although I’ve been using soap for a long time (19 years to be exact), this soap makes me feel really clean. Clean, clean. It’s more concentrated than most soaps, so you get more out of one bottle. Also, it makes my skin soft, without using lotion, because contains oils and Vitamin E. Another plus? It doesn’t use harsh chemicals or synthetic materials that can be damaging to your skin and health over time, and the fair ingredients are ethically sourced. My favorite scent for this soap is peppermint. I love the mint oil smell and it’s so refreshing, which makes me feel clean on the inside and out. The product is definitely a little pricier than some soaps on the market, but, like the name, I really believe this soap is magic. I won’t be giving it up any time soon!

Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub and Lush’s Love Lettuce fresh face mask
Having a weekly routine to treat your face is a must when it comes to skin care. I am all for glowing, fresh looking skin, so I use Aveeno Positively Radiant face scrub and Lush’s Love Lettuce face mask. Every morning, I apply the Aveeno scrub because the fine exfoliators leave my skin dewy and bright. Afterward, I rinse my face with cold water and use the Positively Radiant’s sister moisturizer. Once a week, I use the Lush mask to give my skin a deep cleanse and a coarser scrub. Before I put the mask on, I put a calming lavender Dream Steam in a bowl of hot water and let the steam open my pores for a better scrub. Lush’s products are great because they are all organic, handmade, and you know what you are putting on your skin.
P.S. Don’t forget to refrigerate your mask!
