In a sea of bandeaus, tank-tops and Levi’s cutoffs, you have to really break the mold to make a fashion statement at ACL. With outfits from vintage clothing store Leighelena, ORANGE has a few tips to help you bid goodbye to stereotypical festival fashion.

1. Bandanas and Vertical Stripes
Keep it stylish without sacrificing comfort. Don a bandana around your neck or wear it as a headband when you’ve fist-pumped your way to sweaty hair. On that note, if there’s anything remotely constant about ACL, it’s the heat. Wear shorts if you plan to concert-hop all day. Leighelena chose a denim-pinstripe, but there are other ways to avoid the stereotypical pair of cutoffs: Try neons, acid-wash, lace or leather.
2. Denim and Bright Boots
Tight, high-waisted shorts aren’t your thing? Throw on a simple A-line day dress with a jean jacket. You can tie it around your waist when it’s too hot, or slip your chilly arms into the sleeves during a cooler nighttime show. Make a Texas-style statement by pairing denim with bright, eye-catching boots, but comfort is key, so don’t opt for anything that will leave your feet crying by the end of the night.
3. Prints and Crops
Pants at ACL might seem like a sacrificial fashion statement, but the right fabric will keep you breezy and cool. Thin, breathable spandex, linen, or even knock-off chiffon pants in stand-out prints will do the trick. Pair these digs with an interesting crop-top, like Leighelena’s vintage fringe. Whether you add boots or sandals to the outfit, just remember to keep your feet happy and supported. Top off the look with a pair of sunnies and jewelry.
